| welcome to 05.com.au - drink driver relicensing program |
|
In most cases it is a legal requirement for offenders seeking restoration of their drivers' licence to undergo an accredited Drink Driver Education Program ("Course"). This course consists of two by four hour sessions to be completed over a minimum seven day or a maximum three months period. Further, it is advisable for offenders who have not yet appeared in court on a drink drive offence to complete the course even prior to their court appearance.
Significantly, in other cases, convicted drink drivers seeking licence restoration are also required to undergo Assessments of Alcohol Use (Assessment) and to have an Alcohol Interlock (AI), that is an electronic breath-testing device, wired to the ignition system of a nominated vehicle.
